Kaya Thalankal – Location of Injury
The following varma places have the dangerous time limits. Injured in these places are very dangerous.

In the above said places if we did not take proper treatment for the injuries in 20 avathi time temperature will be raised. along with that perspiration, thirst, suffocation, delirium etc will come. If we take treatment immediately it will be cured.
1. Adukku Thalankal – 5
Adukku means side by side. These places are called as adukku thalankal, because these places are next to an organ of the body. These places are found below the naval and above the tip of coccyx.
- Adukku found at the mouth of the Anus
- Adukku found above the penis
- Adukku found on the first layer of chulimunai
4&5 Two addukkukal found, on both sides of the spine near the saccrum.
2. Mudichu Thalankal – 5
Mudichu means knot. There are five mudichu places. If these places got injured they areconverted into kaya thalankal. These places are considered to be the restoring places for varmam.
1. Karunathi mudichu :
It lies at the joint of the head and nape.
2. Chara mudichu :
It lies at base of the neck where the shoulder joins
3. Thunnal mudichu:
It is located in the mid-way of the spine.
4. Pasu pathi Pasa mudichu:
It is located within the saccrum.
5. Kumbaka mudichu :
It is located below the testicles.
6. Amirtha Nilai Thalankal – 15
There are 15 Amiratha Nilai Thalankal. They are all Varma points. The Amirthanilai is circulating in a body, with 15 main junctions in corrulation with the lunar cycle. The 15th place is the Uchi which is reached on the full moon day ie, the upward circulation called as the Poorvapatcham begins from the big toe of the foot to the centre of the head (Uchi) and Amarapatcham from Uchi to the big toe of the leg. This cycle begins from the right big toe for males and from the left big toe for the females. In the 7th place of amirtha nilai lies poison and from poison in the 5th place lies Shyness.

The symptoms of Amirthanilai varma wounds :
The following are the symptoms of the 15 Amirthanilai varma points, if affected with exceeding mathirai .
- Disorder of charam, Perspiration, and High fever
- Excess cough
- Death after fits.
4. Uruppu thalankal – 32: (Uruppu – organ)
There are 32 Kayathala Uruppukal. These are the places where the Kalai is filled with ie, the ten pulses are exhibitted in full fledge. If these places are injured kaayam, unconciousness will be resulted.Without proper treatment death may occur. the treatment forAmirthanilai thalankal is suitable for this also.

Varma thalankal (Varma Places ) : 108
There are 108 Varma Places . They are classified as paddu varmam 12 and thodu varmam 96. If these places are injured, then, these places are converted into injury with avathi.

2.7.7. Thasa Nadi – Thasa Vayu Thanangal – 10
Though the vayu (air) is one, it is divided into 10 by its function and route. If these placesare injured it is converted to a Varma injury and affects the route of the thasa Vayu. If the injury is in exceeding mathirai then it will be resulted in death
Nadi means channels but not blood vesels. The pranan or vasi is functioning through these thasa nadi. The book “Urpathi Narambarai 1500,” while describing about Thasa nadi though the heading is Nadi in the body it is describing as nerve. Therefore, they can be called as “Nerve channels”

The book “Varma Choodamani 1500, speaks about twelve nadis with the inclusionof two more nadis in the name of Paisini and Visuvotharai. This book indicates these two nadis as ‘Narambin thanam’and the12 Paduvaramam are related with these ‘Narambin thanam’.

Gurunadi which is the major nadi is divided into three nadikal such as Edakalai, Pinkalai and Chulumunai. These three nadikal are further divided into seven more forming a total of ten and further as 72,000. These nadis are related with the 4,448 types of dieases. These nadi endings are known as “Mudichu”. Though there are such 8000 spots, the important Mudichu are 56, which are called as Adankal. These Adankal places are used to cure the trauma due to the Varma injury.
